About Mary and the Me Time Meditations


Hello Beautiful Soul!

I was born in the small town of Amherst, Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada.

My parents divorced when I was 3 years old, giving me and my older brother the unwelcome distinction of being the only children in town with divorced parents.

​Our mother drifted in and out of relationships, until she finally settled on an alcoholic man with a big temper. As I witnessed his violent outbursts, I came to believe that I wasn't safe, lovable, or good enough.

While I have many happy memories of my childhood, there was a sadness deep within me that cast a shadow over those early years and stayed with me as I got older.

I went on to become a registered nurse, got married and had two wonderful children, complete with a house and a big yard. Life seemed to be on my side and I was happy for a while, but the sadness within eventually reappeared.

As my emotional health spiraled downward, turmoil and anxiety from deep within began to rise to the surface. It affected every aspect of my, relationships, finances, and daily decisions that I made.

It started from within and manifested outwardly. It wasn't good.

Age 35 marked my lowest point, which ended up also being the beginning of my awakening. I was depressed, anxious, sick, divorced, and deeply in debt. I was a mess. I had hit rock-bottom and despised myself.​

And then, I found the miracle of meditation...or maybe it found me?​

I found a light within, and again, what came from the inside affected my external life, but in a great way. ​

Over the next few years, through meditation, counselling, journalling, self-help books and lots of tears, I was able to...

  • rediscover a light within myself
  • forgive myself and others
  • rewire my thought patterns
  • release energetic blocks and limiting beliefs
  • heal my heart, and ultimately
  • set myself free to move toward ALL that I am meant to become here in my human life.

​As I meditated, I gradually released the sadness and anxiety and found myself operating from a new place of peace and love.

My way of seeing the world was changing. It always comes from within. ​

I stopped seeing through the filter of my mind, and I started seeing life through the filter of my heart.​

As my heart was opening up more and more, my intuition was developing rapidly, and my actions began to flow from inspiration and inner guidance.​

And then I found my purpose, my calling, my passion!​

I had finally made peace with life, and I wanted, no needed, to help others do the same by sharing ALL that I had learned during my bumpy road to recovery.​

And that's why I created the me time meditations, as a container for the insights and messages that brought me from despair to peace, and ultimately, to happiness.​
