How MeTime Meditations Began

Through my own struggles with stress and burnout, I discovered that true peace and healing arise from the heart—our loving space of compassion and connection.

Meditation became my personal path to healing, helping me reconnect with my true self and find balance amidst life’s challenges.

This realization inspired me to create MeTime Meditations—an inclusive online space dedicated to supporting and encouraging others on their heart-centered journeys toward inner stillness, joy, and well-being.

As my journey within deepened, I found that meditation not only healed my soul but also opened the door to a life of greater ease and fulfillment.

Hello Beautiful Soul!

I was born in a small Nova Scotia town on the east coast of Canada.

When I was just three years old, my parents divorced, making my brother and me the only children in town with divorced parents—a distinction that felt heavy.

Our mother moved through relationships until she eventually settled with a man who struggled with alcoholism and anger. Witnessing his violent outbursts, I absorbed the belief that I wasn’t safe, lovable, or good enough.

While I have many happy memories from my childhood, there was also a sadness within me—like a shadow that followed me into adulthood.

I became a registered nurse, got married, and had two beautiful children. For a time, life felt good—a house, a big yard, and a family I cherished. But the sadness I carried eventually resurfaced.

As my emotional health declined, anxiety and inner turmoil took hold. They affected everything—family, relationships, finances, and even the smallest daily decisions. What was happening inside me began to show up everywhere in my life.

By the time I was 35, I hit rock bottom. I was depressed, anxious, physically unwell, divorced, and drowning in debt. I felt lost and hopeless.

And then, I found meditation—or maybe it found me.

Through meditation, I discovered a light within me, and as this inner shift took place, my external world began to change too—this time for the better.

Over the following years, through meditation, counseling, journaling, self-help books, and plenty of tears, I:

  • Rediscovered the light within myself
  • Forgave myself and others
  • Rewired my thought patterns
  • Released energetic blocks and limiting beliefs
  • Healed my heart, and ultimately
  • Freed myself to step into all I am meant to become in this lifetime

As I meditated, the sadness and anxiety melted away, and I began to experience life from a new place of peace and love. My perspective shifted from being driven by the mind to being guided by the heart.

The more my heart opened, the more my intuition awakened, and I found myself taking inspired actions that flowed naturally from inner guidance.

Then, I discovered my purpose—my passion—my calling.

I had finally made peace with life, and I knew I had to help others do the same. That’s why I created MeTime Meditations: a sacred space to share the insights that guided me from despair to peace and, ultimately, to happiness.

When you listen to these meditations, you’ll be:
